Plant No. 577

The plant was established in the city of Solikamsk, Molotov region, in 1941 on the basis of Plant No. 59 evacuated from the city of Petrovenka, Lugansk region, and a chemical plant from the city of Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Rostov region. During the Great Patriotic War, the plant produced powder for shells for rocket artillery combat vehicles and powder for mortar bombs. The first production line of powder for rocket artillery combat vehicle shells was set up at the plant in August 1942.

In 1985, the plant was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 1st degree, for its successful work during the Great Patriotic War. Many employees of Plant No. 577 were honored with state government awards for their production during the war period.

During the Great Patriotic War, the directors of Plant No. 577 were Vano Meipariani and Sergei Kachalov.

During the Great Patriotic War, the chief engineers of Plant No. 577 were Ivan Kozlovsky and Aleksey Artyushenko.
